Steps to join Umoja Community at College of the Canyons
To finalize your Umoja membership, please attend one of our Mandatory Orientation sessions:

Wed, Sept 17 | 4:30–6:00 p.m. (In-Person inside Bonelli Hall 10 - Near ICC Entrance)
Thu, Sept 18 | 6:00–7:30 p.m. (Zoom)
We’re excited to welcome you to the new Umoja Community at College of the Canyons! Umoja (meaning unity in Kiswahili) is more than a program—it’s a new cultural learning community dedicated to your success. During our orientation, you will:- Meet your Umoja family
- Learn about Umoja’s 18 cultural practices
- Review program benefits & requirements
- Learn more about upcoming events and activities (Calendar coming soon!)
- Connect with our Umoja new coordinators and counselor
- Enjoy food, raffles, and community
