Architectural Drafting Certificate of Achievement

The Architectural Drafting program is designed to prepare students for careers in industry as drafters or related occupations, and/or transfer to a four or five-year architectural program.

Drafting technicians are in short supply, affording many employment opportunities for qualified individuals. The program provides students with entry-level skills and knowledge in the fields of computer and architectural drafting. Competencies include knowledge in AutoCAD generated drawings, current practices in architectural drafting and construction technology, 2-D and 3-D drawings, drafting techniques such as clarity, line weight expression and accuracy, to name a few.

Upon completion of the program, students will be prepared for entry level drafting positions. An associate degree and certificate can be earned in architectural drafting.

Certificate Student Learning Outcome:

Students will be able to demonstrate proficiency in the core knowledge and skills required for employment in architectural drafting.
