Elena Rocha

Professor of Spanish, Mexico


Elena Rocha was born and raised in Cd.Jurez, Chihuahua, Mxico. She completed her primary and secondary education in her hometown. Her interest in Latin American literature and the Hispanic Culture took place during her early secondary education years in Mxico. She moved to California at the age of 18 where she continued her education. She is a graduate from California State University, Northridge, where she obtained a B.A. in Spanish Language and Culture. She is also a Spanish instructor at California State University, Northridge where she will complete her M.A in Spanish literature next spring. Elena is passionate about sharing her personal knowledge and experiences about the Latin American culture, and she also loves traveling and being introduced to other cultures. Her favorite pastimes are hiking, reading, and sharing time with her loved ones.
